Jesus
From Nazareth arose this star
Spread its brilliance near’n far
A fatherless child had entered
Amongst pagans self-centered
In sublime words did he speak
If slapped turn the other cheek
God’s servant he was, not son
God was singular, always one
A prophet’s arrival he foretold
In words unequivocal and bold
His sermons stirred and shook
People in every corner and nook
Parables’n beatitudes splendid
In love and compassion blended
Alas! stubborn most remained
In age old traditions enchained
Miracles so profound he worked
Great danger around him lurked
On the cross they tried to kill him
But the grace of God was with him
A mighty emissary of God was he
Example sublime he set eternally
